University of Iowa College Trip

This event allows Quad City youth to go beyond their neigbohood to --- city, Some of the youth have never been to chicago, which is only a few hours fro the Quad Cities. This allows them to mingle in a differenet enviroment to shop and socialize. This teaches them life skills related to diversity and social expemenities. 

EMBRACE RACE LUNCHEON

A yearly event we attend that is put on by Tracy White's Well Suited Program that exposes Quad-City youth to different cultures to start developing relationships with people they don't normally dine a the table with. The students sit and eat lunch alongside Quad-City CEO's and Business Executives. The students are dressed in suits and ties that caps off the afternoon in a setting of sharing and promoting life skills.

Chicago - Navy Pier Trip

This event allows Quad City youth to go beyond their neigbohood to --- city, Some of the youth have never been to chicago, which is only a few hours fro the Quad Cities. THANKSGIVING TURKEY BASKET EVENT

This early event is granted to every student and their family who participates in the program. They receive a Turkey Basket for the season to alleviate going without. This helps to relive out of pocket expenses to be able to enjoy the Thankful Holiday on us.          

Rock Island Lock & Dam

This is a perioic even that teaches our students about the real history of this community related to the history of the Mississippi River. Lessons are taught by the Corp of Enginerees.

Dress for Success

This event the students are exposed to the elements at dressing professionally for various occasions. It teaches them how to conduct themselves while seated in a presentation. This will allow them success in reaching their goals of employment, college entrance or just making the right impressions to succeed.

YEARLY / MONTHLY EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS 

These presentations are the signature core of the Stanley Moore Mentoring Program. We meet with our youth every third Friday of the month. We bring in local presenters to discuss their pathway success. This helps to assist our youth in developing portfolios of a category of professions to choose from. The presentations are interactive, and much information is shared by the presenters.    

Together Lets Stop The Violence

This event is where Business Leaders will be in a round table discussion concerning curbing Quad City VIOLENCE. These discussion will center on Empowering communities, business, families, & youth.  Changing minds socially, emotionally, & intellectually.  It is the goal of this event to create long lasting change that will allow people in our communities to decide on a safer way to resolve conflict. This event is a four part series to continue the conversation concerning community violence.  These  discussions will unified our communities for a common cause
